Have you ever thought if more people would Smile daily how the world might be?  Each day we choose to be happy or miserable.  If we choose to smile more often it could make a difference.  I'm not saying that a smile will move mountains, however it can change your attitude on life.

The past few weeks have been overwhelming, tiring, frustrating and down right depressing.  I must not lie, I even threw a few pity parties along the way.  Thanks to the great support of my prayer buddies.  I was encouraged and inspired to look at the circumstances in a different way.

These questions were brought to me, by all this fussing am I able to do a great job for the Lord?  The answer was no.  By being upset was I making a difference? The answer was no.  By complaining to others was the situation being changed?  You guessed it right! NO!  Any way I looked at it I was still miserable at the end of the day because of my actions.

I am not perfect.  God does not ask us to be prefect. However, He does search our hearts. He knows when we are trying and when we are not.  Right now I choose to smile when things are tough and thank God I can make it through the day with Him.

You ask???  Did the smiling help with the stressful circumstance?  The answer to that is yes.  Once I decided to smile my thought would bring me back to peacefulness.  God allowed me to focus at the task at hand.  All I could think this week was Philippians 4:13New King James Version (NKJV)
13 I can do all things through Christ[a] who strengthens me.

I pray that you are willing to smile more often through tough times and trust God.

Blessings,
R.C.Givens
