There comes a time in everybody’s life when God simply doesn’t make sense. When we see injustices around us; when we get something we did not deserve, when a Love one suffered, when natural disasters strike and so on. Our world is full with circumstances that can make us feel unsure of our Faith. Problems and trouble try to make us let go of the only thing that keeps us going: our faith.

 As humans we are always trying to avoid Suffering and pursue happiness; we believe in God because we know He can give us what we need, He can make us happy. Sometimes though, it feels like just the opposite happens, our lives start going the other way and our world slowly starts crumbling. People around us begin to question the care and love that God has towards us and although we try very hard to not listen to what they say, our faith starts slipping away.

 There will be things that we would never understand; things that will seem unjust and unfair and that will make us question if God Cares. It is crucial that we remember at all times, that He does, He cares more than what we would ever begin to imagine. Our God is an amazing God, and we have every possible reason there is to trust in Him.

 Isaiah 55:8-9 reads:

 “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord. 9 “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts.”

 Theses are key verses that will help us hold on to our faith when God doesn’t make sense; God’s ways are not our ways and His thoughts are not our thoughts! What we think may destroy our lives may actually save them. The path we think is safe for us to travel in might not be. Our ways, are not His ways.

  The book  “When God Doesnt Make Sense” by Dr. James Dobson, examines exactly what those verses mean. He offers assurance of God’s constant care, even when human suffering is beyond our comprehension. This book will help you to hold on to your faith in the midst of all your problems. Although it will not give you answers to all of the hard questions that are commonly asked when suffering strikes, it will give you some biblical evidence on how God cares and why you can keep holding on to your faith.

 Hard times come for all without advices, circumstances change rapidly and our world can go from being a very stable and safe world to live in to a chaotic world where we can’t control everything, but in the midst of it all, God is still God and nothing will change His power and His love for you.
