Love knows no bounds

1 Corinthians 13:4-7
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Love is a funny sort of thought provoking topic. We all have our own interpretation of what we class as love. Some say they love someone because of the sexual attraction they have for another person, other don't believe in true love so they settle for anyone who will put up with them. In some sore cases people may not know what love is because of how they were brought up, like abuse, both physically, sexually and mentally. You get the love you feel for your family, your siblings, your parents and so on. Then you get the love God reveals to us when we embrace him into our lives. Jesus himself says the two greatest commands are to love God and love others.
Matthew 22:37-40
37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’[a] 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’[b] 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

The loving God part is more easier than the loving others. But then the Bible says those that don't love others don't know God because God is love. 1 John 4:8 Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.
Abit of a circle and round abouts sort of situation. But God's word is true because once we are filled to the brim with God's unfailing love we can't but help loving others. Of course when we learnt to love other the enemy will do his best to remind us why we shouldn't like, let alone love those around us. (shouldn't love, being his own opinion) He will and often does bring to memory what they are like, what they have done to us and to others. And that's when you get a stirring of upset and anger, and in a lot of occasions we allow that train of thought to run its course, which can lead to a variety of consequences if we allow it to get as far as us taking action. But it is in these moments we need to recognise who is reminding us of these things and why. If God is using them to show us we need to forgive and let go, forgive and let go. But if its the enemy trying to stop you from loving, cast it out with the authority granted to us in the word of God and ask God to fill you up so you can love that person even more.
Luke 10:19
Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you.

A question often asked, and I've asked this myself is how do we tell who is doing it. In my experience it is not easy to disifer. But I truly believe that you got to look at the motives behind those thoughts. Do you want to hurt that person, which when we are raged we do generally feel like causing pain. Or do we feel saddened and desperately want to get the thoughts out of your mind. In some cases it could be both, the word of God does say that each day there is a battle between the flesh and the spirit. Both fighting to win, well us.
Galatians 5:17
For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want.

I can't speak for you but I'd like to think I do show everyone love, but if I'm true to myself I know throughout life I have mistreated people and not shown the true love of God that we should be giving to everyone. One of the bible plans I'm reading spoke about how we see others as below or above ourselves and how in society we tend to stay with those we consider above ourselves so we can be seen as successful. But real success is showing the love of God to anyone and every one regardless to their status in society. Regardless to whether they are rich or poor, black or white, smartly dressed or scruffy, high paid job or low paid, healthy or missing parts of their body due to a disease such as leprosy. It is not an easy thing to do, but God is fully aware of our strengths and weaknesses and all we got to do is ask him to help us love others the way he loves us. Just like when we ask for courage, patience wisdom and so on he will give us the opportunities to practice out loving others.

God's love for us has no bounds, no limitations. Neither should ours.

Be blessed

Let's pray
Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Father love is a beautiful gift you have given us. To many, love can be hard, a painful subject, a pointless subject, because they have been hurt, deceived, betrayed by people around them or even worse by the ones they loved or thought were meant to love them. Father I ask your mercy on them and me. Lord I ask that you soften their hearts and fill them with your unfailing love. Father soften my heart towards those around me, and even those around the world that I may have stereotyped and judged wrongly. Forgive me for this  me ways I can show love to them, regardless to how they treat me. Remind me of Jesus and what he faced just to show the world your love and forgiveness. In jesus name amen.
