2020 race for the White House : Donald Trump fires first shot at Joe Biden

With a combined age of 148 years, the contest between Trump and Biden promises to be interesting

When former US Vice President, Joe Biden, recently entered the race for the highest office in America, some reporters were quick to point out that President Trump was rattled. If this was so, however, the President is not showing it. On the other hand, Mr Trump actually refuses to accept that Mr Biden will pose any threat to his bid to preside over the United States for another four years after his current tenancy runs out.

The President said Friday morning that he expects to make quick work of the former Vice President if he survives the grueling Democratic primary season. He says Joe Biden makes him look young and 'vibrant' by comparison. At 72, the President is four years younger than Mr Biden.

Hear Mr Trump, 'I look at Joe, I don't know about him. I don't know, I would never say anyone's too old but I know they're all making me look very young both in terms of age and in terms of energy.'

Mr Trump is insinuating that the former Vice President will be too old to govern America. This was why he suggested that Biden, who would be 78 years old on Inauguration Day if he should win the 2020 election, is already showing his age on the campaign trail. Trump called himself 'a young, vibrant man.'
