Life's About to Get Good

Life's About To Get Good
Life's about to get good. Yes, this is what we try to tell ourselves in order to keep a positive mind and bring hope for the future. Some may say it puts too much focus on the future and not enough on the present, but considering we're always preparing ourselves to be with God, it's a Hopeful statement. This inspiration does come from Shania Twain's new single released yesterday (yes, I a a big Shania Twain fan), and how we need to leave all the worries, all the mess of the past, everything that's been haunting us, behind us and move forward. In her case, it was referring to a messy divorce and trying to find inspiration to recover her voice. However, for us, it can be a hopeful thought to always be thinking about how life is going to only get better, for as we learn and grow, we become wiser and more hopeful in terms of who we are, and who God calls us to be.
Today's first reading states:'But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, to show that the transcendent power belongs to God and not to us. We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed; always carrying in the body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our bodies. For while we live we are always being given up to death for Jesus' sake, so that the life of Jesus may be manifested in our mortal flesh. So death is at work in us, but life in you. Since we have the same spirit of faith as he had who wrote, "I believed, and so I spoke," we too believe, and so we speak, knowing that he who raised the Lord Jesus will raise us also with Jesus and bring us with you into his presence. For it is all for your sake, so that as grace extends to more and more people it may increase thanksgiving, to the glory of God' (2 Corinthians 4:7-15).
We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; we are struck down but not destroyed. In this life, it's so easy to feel worn, down and beaten. However, that doesn't mean it's going to stay that way. With God by our side, we can do anything and conquer any bad time. The point is, it's important to be hopeful that there is good in the world, a future of grace and unending joy with God in heaven. We see pieces of this in the world each and every day, but it's only possible to see the good if we are positive and hopeful for the world around us, and in the blessings God will bring us. Take time today to pray for a positive outlook. Life's about to get good!
Today's Prayer comes from 'belief net' a prayer for positive expectation:
Dear God, I come to You in total expectation of the best. I believe in miracles because I believe in You. I cooperate with You by holding in my human mind the very best outcome. I do not come to You in desperation, but in gratitude and excitement of the result given to me ahead of any need. I live my days in prayer and my days bless me. I go to You first each day to prepare my human mind for the blessed life. I live my moments, day by day, in positive expectation and overflowing gratitude as I witness and take part in the miraculous results. I believe that spiritual power is the most important activity that I can take part in. I give myself to it, and it gives its power to me. I am grateful and thankful for every moment spent in sacred prayer. In Jesus Christ's name … Amen
