Long-time visitors to thinkBuddha.org will know that back in 2007, I spent several weeks in Bulgaria researching a novel. Well, after a lot more writing, the book—which is set in Bulgaria and Paris in the 19th Century, and which follows the fortunes of a bridegroom Turned bandit turned guitarist turned saint—is now published, and has had some good write-ups, including in The Bookseller, where it was one of the recommendations for August 2012, and The Sunday Telegraph, where it was included in the summer books supplement (‘A powerful literary novel,’ they said…).
