Congratulations to the winner of our Rose Bowl Flea Market Sweepstakes!
Last week, our winner, German Barrero came down with his family to pick up the prize, a Father’s Day gift basket was brimmed with gadgets and goodies, one of which was an autographed Lakers basketball.
German had actually proposed to his wife at a Lakers game, and when it seemed like he could not be any more ideal as the prize winner, another funny coincidence was found.
He is the father of several children, one of whom is named Amelie. Society of St. Vincent de Paul founder Frederic Ozanman’s daughter shared the same name.
Coincidences aside, the Society could not have asked for a more deserving winner. Thank you to German Barrero for being a model father and supporting the Society of St. Vincent de Paul of Los Angeles.
