Bristol-based Vegan Vend hits its crowdfunding target!

Bristol will soon be home to the UK’s first chilled Vegan food vending machine, with local business Vegan Vend having now reached their crowdfunding goal.

Vegan Vend founder Remi came up with the idea after she struggled to find quick and easy vegan food options while out and about that gave her the blend of variety, choice and flavour that she was looking for. The plan is to launch with one vending machine, then to roll out more across Bristol – and hopefully the wider UK too.

The chilled items sold from the machines will all be 100% vegan, and will be sourced from handpicked local businesses. The selection will include wraps, sandwiches and sweet treats, with some of the items already confirmed including the Coronation Chickpea sandwich and Sweet Potato Pakora wrap from The Real Wrap Co., plus Millionnaire Shortbread and Bakewell Slice from Kind Cakes Mean Bakes.

Remi decided to try and raise backing for Vegan Vend via Kickstarter – and her campaign met its funding target in early May.

Want to find out where and when the first vending machine will appear? Stay up-to-date by following Vegan Vend’s Kickstarter page – or by visiting them on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter.
