A useful step in author-publicity

Yesterday I received the box of books that I ordered from CreateSpace. It was six of the next volume of my sci-fi series The Grid Saga, called 'Second Pass'. It has been produced to the usual high and dependable quality CreateSpace provides with their print on demand services.

Today I took a copy of Leofwin's Hundred and Second Pass over to Kenilworth Books to see if they would put them on one of their shelves. Kenilworth Books, as you may gather, is in Kenilworth, Warwickshire. Judy was very helpful. She runs this independent bookshop in Talisman Square, and the shop serves the community well, supporting local authors and providing a broad selection of books. Here is an interesting link to Kenilworth Books that I am sure will interest those of you who are authors. http://kenilworthbooks.co.uk/publish-...

Tomorrow I will donate a copy of Second Pass to Coventry Central Library. Having my books available in the Central Library helps get my name into the public eye. In my opinion it is well worth the donation. Every so often I check Leofwin's Hundred's availability; more often than not it is out on loan, which tells me that folks are interested in what I am writing. That information is useful to know and it is also good for confidence building.

Now I will turn my hand seriously to the third volume of The Grid Saga, which I hope to have published by September. The hands will have to be busy on the keyboard, and the eyes busy looking for suitable cover images.

Message me about how your writing is progressing and what selling methods you are using. We need to share these experiences.

Until next time,
Keep well,
JJ
