It is because at the same time when the Battery is drained, the site or app that is running, is constantly tracking your iPhone’s location, which reduces your iPhones battery life since the GPS hardware is enabled in the tracking mode.

You might have already guessed that it is up to the website, or app, to be polite or rude with its users. Every website should and must ask “we would like to track your location” consent. If you allow, yes, if you do not allow,this is called Abuse, and you become victim of abuse.
