Once you have created package.json and Angular 2 or 4 project in Intellij Idea, you can run the build from within IntelliJ Idea using npm and TypeScript compiler. Here is how to do it: Go to Settings: Enable Tpescript Compiler: Go to NPM Tool Window: Select package.json script: Run the build
