Perhaps the reason why President Trump remains preoccupied with badmouthing his own Justice Dept. as well as the Mueller investigation is probably about concern with getting his own misdeeds exposed. Although Trump promised to drain what he referred to as the swamp his own conduct is at odds with that. As well, his uncompromising approach to dispute resolution has only added a repulsive smell to that swamp. Unfortunately, Trump has ignored the need to be the president for all Americans and for that it will take the silent majority to send the appropriate message signalling their dissatisfaction.

The Democrats, and disillusioned Republicans, will need a better voter turnout at the upcoming mid-term elections in November to put the brakes on the current White House administration. If they do, their spirits will be raised knowing they made Trump a one-term president.
