The final FAM Night of the season is Saturday, April 1, so this is your chance to enjoy the Grove's night of Fashion + Art + Music before it starts up again in October.
This free community art walk is a fun family event the first Saturday of the month during from October through April. Participating galleries, restaurants, boutiques and businesses host artists, feature live music, offer special promotions and extended hours. The evening is sponsored by the Coconut Grove Business Improvement District to promote cultural tourism. It is an opportunity for residents and visitors to become acquainted with local businesses and the art community in the business district anchored by CocoWalk.
From 6 to 9 pm, come out, be a part of it. Stroll the streets and come up on live music and art.
Featured destinations this Saturday include The Williams McCall Gallery at Frameworks with featured works from local artists Jason Aponte, Jacqueline Gopie, Elito Hess and Lisa Remeny. Gallery Night art exhibition at The Sonesta Coconut Grove and gallery opening at The Coconut Grove Arts Festival featuring the work of Wesly Alvarez and Ismael Gonzalez. KROMA will feature the artwork of J Carol and Vinos in the Grove will feature the work of Cynthia Fleischmann.
The Boswell Mourot Fine Art gallery is having preview of its opening reception which is Saturday, April 8 from 7:30-10 pm at 3162 Commodore Plaza. The Hispanic Ballet International Festival at the Miami Hispanic Cultural Arts Center selected an Isanusi Garcia Rodriguez creation for the 2016 poster. His original paintings explore the human spirit striving to overcome the pull of gravity as a professional dancer. You can see the work this Saturday.
Live music from Peanut Butter and Jelly at Spillover, Mario Vuksanovic Spanish Guitar at CGAF, Gu Fidelis Guitar at Allie & Chica and TreeSwifts at Bianco Gelato. Three Sheets to the Wind will play at Atchana's Homegrown Thai and Young Musicians Unite with performances from Arrowhead and Avalanche will be at Harry's Pizzeria. Other talented acts and artists like R.C. Bailey will be sketching caricatures and Tarot by Nicky will be doing readings at CocoWalk. Cocowalk will host a StyleMarket. Boutiques, shops and restaurants throughout the business district will offer special discounts, extended hours and featured performers and artists.
