Trump did not have a good weekend at the G-20 in Buenos Aires. He appeared befuddled when he wandered off the stage after shaking hands with President Macri of Argentina instead of staying for the ‘family photo’. And a mic caught him telling the aide who chased him down “Get me out of here”.

Vladimir Putin and Mohammed bin Salman shared a joyously fraternal ‘high-five’ while Trump looked on dejectedly. And then in another viral image, we see Melania looking coquettishly at Putin while hubby stares blankly into space.

Now, safely back in the White House, Trump is again tweeting up a storm. But he seems unusually dissociated and off his game — passive even.

Let’s have a look.

Here’s one tweet:

Bob Mueller (who is a much different man than people think) and his out of control band of Angry Democrats, don’t want the truth, they only want lies. The truth is very bad for their mission!

First note there are no words in ALL CAPS, few emphatic Capital Letters, and only one modest exclamation point! Second, it is boringly rote. It makes you doubt that Trump wrote it. Perhaps one of his kids chipped in? If not, then Trump is not himself.

Then there is this effort:

“I will never testify against Trump.” This statement was recently made by Roger Stone, essentially stating that he will not be forced by a rogue and out of control prosecutor to make up lies and stories about “President Trump.” Nice to know that some people still have “guts!”

We know Trump wrote this one. No one with any sense of the law would write a tweet so obviously obstructive and manipulative. It’s along the lines of “Stone has a lovely daughter, it would be a shame if something happened to her”.

And why is President Trump in “quotes”.

Then there is this two-tweet effort:

“Michael Cohen asks judge for no Prison Time.” You mean he can do all of the TERRIBLE, unrelated to Trump, things having to do with fraud, big loans, Taxis, etc., and not serve a long prison term? He makes up stories to get a GREAT & ALREADY reduced deal for himself, and get..…

….his wife and father-in-law (who has the money?) off Scott Free. He lied for this outcome and should, in my opinion, serve a full and complete sentence.

This is vintage Trump. Capital letters spring up for no apparent reason. All-cap words follow no form. Take “GREAT & ALREADY reduced deal”. It’s an adjectival phrase and yet ‘reduced’ isn’t accorded the same respect as ‘GREAT & ALREADY’.

(Is ‘who has the money’ a genuine request for information — or a misused question mark?)

Then there is the convoluted idea that if you commit crimes “unrelated to Trump”, you should serve a long prison term — which seemingly implies that if you do commit crimes related to Trump you should get a reduced sentence.

Which brings us to ‘Scott Free’. There is no Scott Free, and his first name is spelled ‘scot’.

Moving on, there’s the border:

We would save Billions of Dollars if the Democrats would give us the votes to build the Wall. Either way, people will NOT be allowed into our Country illegally! We will close the Entire Southern Border if necessary. Also, STOP THE DRUGS!

It’s the shopaholic’s defense: “I Spent a lot, but think how much I saved”. And like the shopaholic’s defense, it makes no sense. Which Trump admits in his next sentence: “Either way, people will NOT be allowed into our Country illegally!”. In that case, why not save money and not build a wall?

Then there is the crazy talk. You cannot close the entire Southern Border. How do you stop the flow of millions of people and billions of dollars — let alone the fact the border is 1,950 miles long. 

And what of the coda: “Also, STOP THE DRUGS”.  Nixon said that in 1970. It was stupid then. It’s ridiculous now. At least in 1970, they didn’t have 50 years of experience to suggest how stupid an idea it is.

Then there is the military:

I am certain that, at some time in the future, President Xi and I, together with President Putin of Russia, will start talking about a meaningful halt to what has become a major and uncontrollable Arms Race. The U.S. spent 716 Billion Dollars this year. Crazy!

Crazy is right. The US spent $716B because you insisted that Congress increase the Pentagon budget. China spent $228B. And Russia spent $67B. We are the ‘Arms Race’.

Finally, not because there isn’t more, but because it’s too depressing, there’s this:

Farmers will be a a very BIG and FAST beneficiary of our deal with China. They intend to start purchasing agricultural product immediately. We make the finest and cleanest product in the World, and that is what China wants. Farmers, I LOVE YOU!

What deal? “They intend” — is there evidence? “Cleanest” — what does that even mean? And lastly “Farmers, I LOVE YOU!” — it has all the sincerity of a lounge singer desperate to wrap it up for the night. And it’s what he said to Ivana, Marla & Melania as he was going out to screw a porn star.
