CAD LAUNCHES EMPOWERMENT SCHEME FOR INFORMAL COMMUNITIES

On September 27, 2018 CAD launched the long awaited informal communities’ Empowerment Scheme. The scheme aims to give loans to small businesses (petty traders) run by persons affected by or vulnerable to displacements. The loan would enhance the business scale and enable the traders aspire to e.g. afford approved stores, residence, and support dependents.

Beneficiaries selected from Mainland Local Government Area|LGA (Otto-Ilogbo and Oko-Baba communities), Somolu LGA, Apapa LGA among others, were visibly glad to receive the loans on the 6month repayment plan.
