Starting out as a two door compact sedan known as the E21, the 3 series was later redesigned to become the best-sellingF30 sedan. Meanwhile itnotched up some significant awards and recognition over the past 25 years. Car and Driver had placed the 3 series on the Ten Best list 22 times, and Grassroots Motorsports had named the 3 series the second most important performance car built, within the last 25 years.

The Turbocharged Sixth Generation
The 6th generation BMW 3 Series known as the F30/F31 were the first ones to get turbocharged engines throughout the entire BMW3 series range. While the BMW3 series is no longer available as a coupe, the BMW 3 series sedan still represents the balance of luxury and performance, but has definitely shown a sense of softness over the years.
A slew of significant changes have been made under the hood. The base trim level is the 2017 BMW 320i, which is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged 4 cylinder.
The 2017 BMW 320i is a great looking car, with its sleek sporty/ luxurious design, its no wonder it’s the best looking sedan in the market. BMW has done slight styling adjustments over the past few years, but not much to make a huge change.
