The joy of reviewing HEALTHY YUMMY Desserts is here! Pleased to meet Dr. Kasturi, dentist + nutritionist homemaker who has been experimenting in her kitchen with ingredients such as jowar, bajra, ragi as her dessert-base and jaggery, dates, honey as her sweeteners for binge-worthy desserts minus the guilt. Imagine having a cake with none of that heavy feeling or gorging on nutella that is made of 100% roasted hazelnuts with honey!
She has a lovely menu full of innovative and exclusive desserts and she is continuously experimenting to add new goodies. She can be reached to create personalized desserts as well as hampers for special occasions and delivers all over Mumbai. Recently, my sister and I got an exclusive invite from her to review her Diwali goodie bag and boy, was it a feast!
Remember, her strict policy is of NOT using any maida, butter, sugar, cream and all her goodies are sugar-free + gluten-free. Yet the taste is superb, we did not feel even for a moment that we were missing out on anything, rather every goodie we tasted was wholesome, delicious, had a long-lasting flavor.
Things we tried and loved -
1. Nankhatai - besan, pista and cranberries,
2. Brookie - dark chocolate and seasalt mix for brownie + cookie,
3. Energy balls - oats, chia seeds, flax seeds, coconut, peanut butter and honey,
4. 100% Hazelnut Homemade Nutella (with honey, unsweetened cocoa, coconut oil, a tinge of vanilla)
5. Dark chocolate cake - Ragi base, almond meal, nuts and choco chips)
6. Granola - muesli, oats, nuts, dates and honey (MY FAV)
7. Banana Walnut Cake- Brown rice base,yet so sooo yummy
8. Glutenfree Apple + Cinnamon + walnuts + coconut crumble loaf in ragi, jowar, bajra mix base, I know it is unbelievable to think that all these ingredients could come together to create something utterly salivating, yet here they all do ♥
Despite being a dentist, Dr. Kasturi puts in a lot of effort to ensure that people go to her with demand for more desserts with no complaints of dental issues :D I am certainly ordering some of her sinful yet guilt-free goodies pretty soon and suggest you do so too. Recommended :)
