"Far away from fast-paced Manila"

As promised, here are a portion of photos from my extended cavite vacation. Some were taken in black and white, I think after viewing Sidney's blog a lot, i got into the habit.

Now you can also look at this post and consider it as a guide to cure boredom whenever you're in the province. Usually, one can easily get bored when they're far away from fast-paced Manila.

Main point: Be a kid again.

TOUCHBALL

A.k.a. dodgeball. Same rules apply here (dont get hit!).

BADMINTON

Ignore what studio 23 says (you know, the whole 16 feathers made from the left wing of a goose and other random facts), just get out some rackets and start smashing the shuttlecock at eachother. What? No court? Head to the street!

BASKETBALL

It's the country's favourite sport, which explains why every street
corner has a hoop dangling above it.

POOL | BILLIARDS

The local version that is. Here, instead of coloured balls with numbers on it, you use little disc things similar to that of a hockey puck. In my opinion, it's much harder than the one's you play at the pub.

SCOOTERS!

If you're a kid at Heart like me, then why not challenge yourself by riding your little cousins scooter or bike. It makes you feel like a circus clown, but hey, you still enjoy yourself. The kid in this shot is my cousin Miko. I don't think the scooter is his thing.

ZIPS | POIS

This is more of a beach/hippie/clubbing sort of thing. They're those things that you spin around while trying to perform different tricks. Very fun, but very hard to do. As seen by my little sister, it's very to get tangled.

ICE CREAM!!!

A good way to cool off in the blistering heat.

Next time on I heart manila:
The Crazy students of Thames (and their fascination for jumping... you'll soon see what I mean)
