Två av Kristianstads landmärken är Vattentornet och värmekraftverket, Allöverket. Det är två byggnader som utmärker sig och syns på långt håll. Hur hög skorstenen är på värmekraftverket, det vet jag inte. Men vattentornet är 47 meter högt, så den är Kristianstads näst högsta byggnad den högsta är sjukhuset, med sina 57 meter. Både vattentornet och Allöverket utmärker sig på avstånd, vilket inte sjukhuset gör på grund av dess storlek. Det som utmärker värmekraftverket är den tjocka långa rökpelare som kommer från skorstenen.
Vattentornet är långsmalt och står över andra byggnader, därför drar det till sig blicken. Uppe i vattentornet var det för många år sedan ett café, men bland annat efter vandalisering inuti tornet där det går en hiss, så fick det stängas. Även säkerheten var ett av skälen, det är ju stadens dricksvatten som är i vattentornet. Det tredje, Trefaldighets kyrkan, syns mest från Lillö, dessa foton är tagna från naturum.
Two of Kristianstad’s landmarks are the water Tower and the thermal power plant, Alloverket. It´s two buildings that stands out and is visible from afar. How high the chimney is on the thermal power plant, I do not know. But the water tower is 47 meters high, so it is Kristianstad’s second tallest building, the highest is the hospital, with its 57 meters. Both the water tower and Allöverket are distinguished by distance, which does not make the hospital because of its size. What distinguishes the power station is the thick long column of smoke coming from the chimney.
The water tower is long and narrow and stand above other buildings, because it attracts the gaze. Up in the water tower there was a café many years ago, but after vandalism inside the tower, where there was an elevator, it had to be closed. Although safety was one of the reasons, it is the city’s drinking water that is in the water tower. The third, Holy Trinity Church, is most visible from Lillo, these photos are taken from the Visitor Center.
