A Trip to the Cottage

This past week I some how managed to get three days off in a row. That meant I could take a little vacation up to my aunt's Cottage, after a quick stop in Peterborough to drop stuff off at my house for next year. The trip to the cottage was much needed. As I now feel recharged and ready for another month of work until I go back to school. In the first two pictures, you are able to see a Great Blue Heron. One of it standing on a log, and one of it taking off from the log. I got these pictures by sneaking up on it in a canoe. The third picture is just a classic Canadian shield picture. Pine trees and rocks reflecting on a lake. The Fourth picture is a rather large beaver pond at sunset. I used my ND filter for this photo. The fifth photo is of the Milky Way. This was my first time actually seeing the Milky Way. I have spent my life in cities, and because of that, you can't actually see the Milky Way as a result of the light pollution. The last photo is star trails over the lake the cottage was one. There seemed to be a lot of planes flying by, as you can see the red lights at the bottom of the picture.
