We have a lot of weddings we still need to blog from the past 2 years. We really try to feature every Wedding we photograph but sometimes it’s tricky when we have a lot going on. Mainly prepping for and shooting more weddings and engagement shoots. Hooray! It’s a joy for us to share the stories of all our amazing clients, so do you mind going back to 2016 with us? Technically only 18 months back — no need to start up a DeLorean.

Jeannie + Jack had a Lake Eden Wedding in Black Mountain, NC. These two cuties (who aren’t models but look like they could be) traveled from Brooklyn, NY to say their vows here. The October rain and wind from a hurricane tried to impose itself on the ceremony but it only made it more memorable of an experience. It was fun to photograph too! And if you’re wondering what we do when it rains, well, we get the shot and do whatever it takes for our clients. As long as you are up for a rainy adventure then we are too :) In the words of Tom Waits: “a little rain never hurt no one”.

We asked Jeannie and Jack what was really important to them while planning their wedding. It’s such a solid answer and an important reminder of what matters most: “We tried really hard not to sweat the small stuff. When details would get stressful, we’d remind each other that–no matter what happened–we’d be getting married and folks we loved would be there with us. That’s the stuff that matters! Even when Hurricane Matthew rolled through on our wedding weekend, it didn’t change the fact that we were marrying each other and folks we loved were there to celebrate with us. Everything ended up being more fun, beautiful, and meaningful than we could have imagined!”
