They danced the night away with all of their family that came from near and far. They had a magical night with their family and friends. Everything was amazing and was so happy to be a part of it.

The story of Diana + David’s Park Savoy Wedding, Florham Park

Diana and David chose a beautiful day in April to get married. The couple chose her childhood church in St Ann’s in Fair Lawn to have the ceremony. The couple said their vows to a packed house of family and friends. Afterward, everyone gathered on the steps of the church for a large group photo. It was wonderful to see how much this couple was loved.

A Park Savoy Wedding

The formal photos were taken at their reception hall, the Park Savoy Estates in Florham Park. I always love working there. The grounds overlook a golf course. It was such a pretty sight. They danced the night away with all of their family that came from near and far. They had a magical night with their family and friends. Everything was amazing and was so happy to be a part of it.

Before the wedding day, we interviewed Diana & David about their wedding and relationship and also why they choose to have their wedding at The Park Savoy.

Tell us about your childhood.

Diana: “I grew up in Elmwood Park, NJ. I went to Loyola University in Maryland and graduated with a degree in Speech-Language Pathology. I stayed in Maryland for the following 2 years while studying for my Master’s degree, and I was in the beginning of my second year of grad school when I met David.

David: “ I grew up in Westminster, MD. After high school, he went into the police academy and am currently an MD state trooper. ”

Tell us how you first met? Who what when where why? Give us the dirty Details.

“ We met through an online dating website. Our first date was at California Pizza Kitchen, and we spent the whole day laughing and not wanting to leave! ”

When did you know he/she was the one? Was there something he/she did?, etc.

“David always said that he knew I was the one from the minute he met me. I felt the same way, however, I told David that I had to make sure he was serious! “

Tell us about the proposal. (Did you see it coming, how long was it in the planning? How did you feel? Nervous, excited, freaking out?)

“David proposed to me on our 1 year anniversary. We had a dinner reservation in the city, however, we got there early and had some time to kill. David suggested we walk around for a bit. We walked up to the top of Fort McHenry which overlooks the Inner Harbor in Baltimore. He told me to close my eyes, cause he had a special surprise for me, and when I opened them he was down on one knee with a ring! He even found someone to take pictures beforehand! I had no idea it was coming and was in such shock I was close to speechless, but was able to say YES!”

Tell us the one thing you love most about each other.

Diana – “I love how David can always make me laugh, no matter the situation! “

David – “Her beautiful smile. I’m lucky I get to see it every day!”

Besides getting married -What is the one thing you are looking forward to on your wedding day?

Diana – “Everything! Most importantly the anticipation leading up to see David at the ceremony “

David – “Seeing Diana walk down the aisle”

What is your favorite trend for weddings right now?

“I love candid bridal party photos!”

What inspired your decor or theme?

“We are getting married in April, so I was definitely inspired by spring colors and flowers.”

Why did you pick to have your Wedding at The Park Savoy, What Attracted you.

“The food at our venue is absolutely amazing! And the staff is just as amazing as well. They treated us like royalty, and they were the first and only venue that we went to visit! The grounds are also beautiful, and I can’t wait to see our wedding photos! “
