Tell us about the bride: Where you grew up, went to school, where you work.

Julie grew up in Palisades Park, NJ and went to Monmouth University where she earned a BS in Accounting. She currently works at IDA
in Oakland as assistant to the CFO and has been there for the past 11 years. She loves the beach and the Jersey shore, scrapbooking
and other crafts, and running/walking 5ks.

Tell us about the groom: Where you grew up, went to school, where you work.

Brad grew up in Verona, NJ and works at Campbell Foundry in shipping. He enjoys football (Go New Orleans Saints!), video games, and WWE Wrestling. He is a fan of The Walking Dead, 24, and a big movie buff of films like The Godfather and Rocky series.

How did you first meet? Who what when where why? Give us the dirty details.

We met online through OkCupid. Julie was done with the dating scene and gave one last guy a chance to wow her. Expecting basically just a free dinner before she quit the dating sites for a while, Brad came to the date and laid everything out on the table: the good, the bad, and the ugly. It was real from the first date, honest and refreshing. We had date two a few days later and on date three he made it official bf/gf status and the rest is history…

We dated for almost 10 months before he proposed on Super Bowl Sunday and I said yes.

When did you know he/she was the one? Was there something he/she did? etc.

When he was honest on the first date, it got me.

How did he propose? (Did you see it coming, how long was it in the planning? How did you feel? Nervous, excited, freaking out?)

I was expecting it to be in the upcoming months but not as soon as it was: Super Bowl Sunday at my best friend’s house. He got a onesie for my 5-month-old godson that said, “Aunt Julie, will you make Brad my uncle?” He came over to me with the baby and said, “Matthew has something to ask you,” and got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I was in shock because I wasn’t expecting it just yet but of course I said yes because I was ready to say yes already before that.

He was nervous to pick out a ring that I would love and nervous about asking but he did an awesome job. I love the ring and him too!

Tell us the one thing you love most about each other.

I love that he is real. What you see is what you get.

I love her generosity, creativity, and perseverance.

If you feel comfortable, share with us something silly or quirky the other person does.

She has a laugh, a high pitched squeal laugh, when something funny hits hard and fast out of nowhere.

Besides getting married – What is the one thing you are looking forward to on your wedding day?

The awesome party, our families being all together (from all over the country), our first dance.

Tell us your favorite trend for weddings right now.

Practical favors; less is more. Dancing all night long.

What inspired your decor or theme?

Julie loves the beach. It is a part of her soul and we spent a lot of our weekends down the shore when we were first dating. We love the boardwalk and sunsets.

The one thing you wish you would have known earlier in regards to planning?

I wish I knew I had to win the lottery before getting engaged to afford any wedding in New Jersey. Although, I kinda already knew that having been born and raised here.

Why did you pick your Wedding Venue, What Attracted you?

It’s beautiful, has an outdoor ceremony option, and it’s the best food. They know what they are doing and we can trust they will do it all without too much stress for the bride.

Seasons Catering Hosts a Special Day

At this past wedding, the food was delicious, the flowers were inspiring, and the DJ kept the guests entertained for the entire night. It was a classic wedding with all of the traditional wedding activities and traditions. The bride and groom tied the knot in front of friends and family in a beautiful ceremony that symbolized the love that they share.

The Reception

The couple shared their first dance. The speeches contained a right mix of lighthearted fun and touching moments about their connections to the bride and groom and the love that they share.

Dinner was a gourmet delight but the real star of the day was the delicious cake. The Baker outdid themselves by creating a treat that not only looked remarkable but tasted as good as it looked. If you have been to many weddings, you probably know that this is not always the case. After dinner was served the real party began as the dance floor was occupied by the guests. The DJ played a great mix of music that was able to satisfy both the young and old. The wedding was a grand celebration and Of course, all of these magical moments captured by the talents of David Eric Photography.
