25. Wonder Woman, Volume 1: The Lies by Greg Rucka

I read in an interview somewhere that Greg Rucka was trying to make Steve Trevor cool again. I've never thought of Steve as cool before, but Rucka succeeds here.
Though this is volume 1, this story does reference the preceding New 52 run's events. You need not read those first to understand this book. I wouldn't bother as that run got worse over time so much so I stopped reading it.
Once the mystery presented in this book is solved (not yet in vol.1), I think we'll be able to dispense with the New 52 run's history as no more than footnote.
I enjoyed the characters and stories in this and look forward to seeing where it goes next.
