Paula and Scott were married this past weekend at the Holy Sprit Catholic Church in Duncanville and celebrated with their reception at the Dallas Omni Hotel.  It’s always a treat when I get to be the photographer at more than one wedding within a family.  I shot Paula’s brother’s wedding back in October of 2008.  I can’t believe it’s been four and a half years!  Paula and Scott have a very peaceful and even way to them and it was so much fun to celebrate with all the folks I remember from four years ago.  Congratulations guys!

I’ve been leaning on my micro four thirds system for wedding photography more and more.  I used the Nikon gear for the formals and that’s about it.  I’m using the Olympus OMD EM-5 along with an assortment of lenses.  I use the 17mm 1.8, 45mm 1.8, 75mm 1.8 and an adapted Nikon 55mm AIS marco.  I also recently picked up the Sigma 30mm f/2.8 and I really like it.  The Olympus OMD also works with my Phottix Stratto wireless trigger system so that’s another big plus.  I can’t stress highly enough how awesome it is to shoot with a system that has such great image quality and scream “LOOK AT ME I’M A PHOTOGRAPHER!”  All of the lens are awesome but the 75mm is truly world class.  I’m very happy with the portraits we took out on the balcony of the Omni just before the thunderstorm hit.
