GoGo Bell Dog Doorbell for Housebreaking / Housetraining / Potty Training

A dog loves their master and will go out of their way to console you when you’re sad, and bring you so much joy. I love the way a dog greets its owner with such love and respect, and this is the primary reason why most people love dogs the most. But something that people overlook is yes, dogs are a fantastic animal to have, but they are definitely the most work.

The reason they are so caring and loving is that they themselves need to be cared for and loved. You can leave a cat for a month, and they will still survive and do their own thing, but with dogs they need a master. They need a human. I wanted to start out with this because if you are just considering buying a dog, you have to realize how much work it really is. They are not easy to take care of, and you should be prepared to invest a lot of time and money in your dog.

That being said, having a dog is incredibly rewarding, and if you train them in the best way, they will be one of the best pets you could ask for. Notice how I said you have to train them? I am not joking.

There is nothing worse than going to a house with a poorly behaved dog. They bark the whole time, jump on you, are constantly begging for food, and are all-around annoying. This makes them a nuisance to be around, and frankly, unsafe. You need a dog that respects you, and above all listens to you. This is why I take training so seriously and have made it my goal to let you know about various products out there that enhance the way you can train your dog.

With so many products you can buy today that all boast the “perfect” way to train your dog, as a beginner, it can be difficult to know what one you should spend your money on. This is why I will let you know if a certain product is worth both your time and money. At the end of this article, you will know the ins and outs of a certain product, and be able to decide on your own whether it is the right one for you.

One tool to help train your dog is the GoGo Bell Dog Doorbell. It has been made to help you in training and molding a perfectly behaved dog.

Features

The Gogo Bell Dog Doorbell comes with a variety of features intended to meet all your dog-training needs. These features include:

  • Boasts a solid 95% success rate
  • Really easy to use and quick to train your dog to use it
  • Included are step-by-step Instructions in a manual to let you know how to use the bell
  • The bell lets off a great sounding chime when your dog hits it with his/her nose or paw
  • This is a safer alternative to other bells: comes with no dangerous crevices or slots for a dog’s nails to get stuck in
  • Fully prevents door scratching
  • Designed to hang a few inches away from your wall or from your door, drastically reducing the risk of them ruining your door while they try and hit the bell
  • Very easy to install: comes with just two screws that makes for the easiest installation
  • Able to be mounted on both a door or a wall
  • Not a strap-type doorbell (which are commonly too high for little dogs or puppies)
  • You can put it at a customizable height depending on your dog’s size
  • Made out of solid metal that vows to never break, unlike other cheap plastic bells

Pros

  • Very well-made loud bell
  • Easy to install and use
  • Reasonably priced
  • Made out of metal, making it more durable to last longer
  • Hangs away from door, avoiding any scratching
  • Worked for my dog

Cons

  • I think you can train your dog without a bell

Verdict

First and foremost, I always tell people who read my articles one thing before I get into my final verdict: This is just my personal opinion. I am not a professional dog whisperer, nor do I own a multitude of dogs.

I am a proud owner of one well-trained German Shepherd and used various tools and techniques on him to see which ones worked and what ones didn’t. I am also money conscious and do not buy things that I think are a waste, and that I could build or do myself. I am after products that will fully train your dog and will benefit you in the long term.

That being said, I have mixed feelings about the GoGo Bell Dog Doorbell and I’ll tell you why. For a “doggie doorbell,” I believe the GoGo is in fact one of the best made ones on the market today. This is because it is made out of strong metal that will last over time, and it is a one-stop purchase and you won’t have to buy another one.

However, I am simply not the biggest fan of doorbells for your dog. I believe you can train your dog to go out a doggie door or nudge the door or door handle with their nose to let you know they need to pee.
