So this was an idea that I got from my boyfriend’s aunt. We went to Ocean City over the summer and they paid for everyone to go! I couldn’t help but wonder how anyone could afford to take about 10 people to the beach and stay in a condo.

One day I noticed she was putting a five Dollar Bill in a Tupperware container. I couldn’t help but ask what the hell she was doing. That five dollars could get me a nice burger from burger king! She started to explain that every time she gets a dollar bill or a five dollar bill, she puts it away, in her case, in a Tupperware container. By the time summer hits and they want to go on vacation, they whip out the container and usually have enough to afford most of the trip, if not all.

I thought this was a helpful tip and a good habit to get into. It does require a lot of self control to actually continue to put away money and not be tempted to spend it on a burger at burger king… (whoops…)
