Easy Christmas Cookie

Easy Christmas Cookie!

The Holidays are here!! If you are in a pinch and need a delicious and easy Christmas Cookie recipe, try my Hello Dolly cookies.  Growing up, I used to make these cookies with my mom. Looking for something homemade that doesn’t take forever to make or a ton of ingredients?   Seriously try these! These are the easiest Christmas cookies to make!  Not only are they super easy to make but there is hardly any mess to clean! Bonus! Have kids? They can help you make these cookies.  This is one of those desserts that you will not have to worry about them messing up or over pouring, over stirring etc. This is basically like a “dump cake” but it is a cookie instead.

Christmas Cookie (Hello Dolly) Ingredients:

  • Half of stick of butter.
  •  Graham cracker crumbs 1 cup
  • Flaked Coconut 1 cup
  • Semi-sweet chocolate chips 1 cup
  • Chopped Walnuts 1 cup
  • 1 15 oz can of sweetened condensed milk
  • Throw away cake aluminum pan

Easy Christmas Cookie Recipe:

Preheat oven to 350

Melt the butter in a microwave-safe container and pour into your cake pan.

Next are the layers. Sprinkle the graham cracker crumbs over the butter and I pick up the pan and lightly drop and tap it to make sure the crumbs settle nice. Then follow with each cup of ingredients in the order of coconut, chocolate, and end with nuts.  Lastly, you pour the condensed milk over the entire cookie pan.  Some of these cans come with a pull tab and some you have to use a can opener and pierce holes.  Especially with just the pull tab hold a good 6 inches above the cookie pan so it doesn’t rush out and pour in one spot.  After you get every little drop of condensed milk poured over the mix, you are done! The oils from the coconut and nuts along with the chocolate and cream make this cookie very rich and extremely tasty.

Put it in the oven for about 30 minutes until the edges start turning golden brown. Set it out to cool and then cut into squares. *Tip: Before cutting the cookies, I like to cool it and then put it in the fridge for at least an hour.  I found it is much easier to cut really when the cookies are cold.  I also cut the corners of the pan and slide it out onto a cutting board to cut them.  Refrigerate to keep the cookies fresh. Also, these cookies can be frozen! Great if you want to plan ahead!

That is it! Hope you enjoy them! Super delicious! Big win for busy moms! Check out some of my other quick and easy recipes like my Easiest Egg Muffin Recipe!
