The holiday of Purim (this year on February 28) celebrates the survival of the Hebrew people and the bravery of Esther, one of the foundational Jewish heroes of ancient times. Purimania celebrates the many twists, turns of the Purim story, and provides a soundtrack for the four Purim ‘mitzvot’, or good deeds.

One of the mitzvot is to have a festive meal, including Hamantaschen, the three-cornered cookie that is a staple of the holiday. Purimania’s Hamantaschen Party song provides a fun, up-tempo, rock and roll soundtrack to the festivities. As well as both regular and gluten free recipes right there in the song!

Danna Banana is a family performer who has won raves from NY Times, NY Post, Nick Jr, Parenting Magazine and many others. He is a trained opera singer and has written for Nickelodeon and Disney’s Jojo’s Circus.
