Seconds before I walked down the aisle

Waiting for the church door to be opened, stuck in my Wedding gown (and the very tight corset), I had no tears of joy or last minute wedding jitters. Seconds before I walked down the aisle, I was completely calm and happy.

It’s probably the perfect combination of serenity and bliss. And it’s not because of my Wedding Gown cape or the feast waiting for our guests or the pretty wedding photos or the perfect wedding set-up.

The serene joy comes from knowing that God has got my back in my decision to say yes to a lifelong commitment, to say yes to a deeper purpose. It’s a peaceful pleasure that can’t be bought or stolen. And I’m glad that the bliss and serenity I had seconds before I walked down the aisle are still with me today. God is good!

Happy 2nd wedding anniversary to my forever date, Novo!
