Just over 1 year ago I had finished a group called Life With Baby. I met people I felt I could relate to. They understood the struggle. Some of them knew what postnatal depression felt like. I didn’t want to lose that, so once the group ended I started up a page on Facebook. There was just 5 of us, and I said “please, just add anyone” and so the group slowly grew, and grew. The rules are simple, if you’re a Mum or Mum To Be join in, be nice, don’t judge, listen and offer support. New friendships have flourished, tears have been wiped and viral hugs have been offered through this group of Mums being real about how life can be as a parent. Today was a day to celebrate all the support these Women have given to each other over the last year. It was the Mummy And Baby Appreciation Day! I wanted them all to meet each other, to be in one room and celebrate being such a powerful, glorious group of women who are ALWAYS there for each other, no clicky groups, no exclusion, no judgement, just love. I had the absolute honour of meeting all these women today, and I’m blown away by their unity. I feel very privileged to have been part of something so special. For the first time today I’m looking at this photo with tears streaming down my face, we did it girls. We did it! Until the next time my darlings, keep on supporting each other.
