Proven Insider Tips for Grand Teton National Park

Grand Teton National Park Road Trip Heading out on family adventures is something my family LOVES to do. We believe in creating family travel traditions. If you have never been to Grand Teton National Park, you should know that it’s in Wyoming. It’s just a couple of hours away from us, which is nice. If you’re heading out to this national park with your family, here are some things to keep in mind as you visit. Know the important stuff Heading out to Grand Teton National Park is a GOOD decision. However, you should take some time to know the operating hours and seasons of the park. There are some fees associated with passes as well. The more you know, the smoother your trip will be! Great Lodging Options What I have always loved about Great Teton National Park are the lodging options. You can choose a modern hotel, motels, cabins, or you can camp. My family loves to do all the above. However, camping is a favorite of ours! We stay in Colter Bay tent cabins. Note that these reservations fill up quick and it’s best to book 10 months in advance. Know what to wear When it comes to dressing for Grand Teton National Park. I like to bring a variety of clothing. However, there are a select few things that I pack every time, to make myself comfortable during the trip! I try to get as many clothing items as I can from Adventura Clothing. They focus on making clothing that doesn’t leave a lasting impact on the environment. Adventura has a line of clothing that focuses on being comfortable while being active. My favorites are the Vita Capris (super comfortable, drawstring waist, and a perfect fit). Let’s not forget about the Sheridan Top, it’s super fabulous in every way too! It used to be hard to find clothing that was comfortable enough to hike in, but not anymore. Find Plenty of Things to Do There are TONS of activities in Grand Teton National Park. My family can stay busy for days. We usually have to pick and choose what we will do because there is just not enough time in the day to see everything. Yellowstone National Park is an obvious stop for us. We love seeing the wildlife and nature’s beauty. Some other activities we like to do are hike and check out as much of the other monuments and recreation areas as possible.
