5 Family Friendly Activities in Las Vegas

When most people think of Vegas, they think of going for the partying scene. It’s a shame because there is so much more to Las Vegas than meets the eye. Believe it or not, it’s a great place for families! You don’t have to be in the mood to gamble to enjoy a few days in the Las Vegas area. 1. 7 Magic Mountains One of my favorite places ever is called 7 Magic Mountains. This place is about 10 miles south of Las Vegas and it’s worth every mile. This is such a unique place to visit because it is a man made piece of artwork. The artist is known Ugo Rondinone, an international Swiss. These boulders stack more than 30 feet high and are very memorizing. 2. Hike the Nevada Trails If you’re looking to get more of a sightseeing trip, while in Vegas, then you need to check out the Nevada Trails. It amazes me how many places there are to hike in this area. Pick a few trails that you think you’ll love and go the extra mile. 4. Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area in Nevada Another family friendly activity for the Vegas area is The Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area. You will find this amazing find about 15 miles outside of Vegas to the west. There are tons of side roads, plenty of trails to explore, and amazing views to see. 4. Lake Las Vegas Looking for another family friendly location in the Vegas area? Go ahead and check out Lake Las Vegas while you’re in town. This is a unique place to visit because it feels like a town outside of Las Vegas. There are tons of hiking trails to enjoy, equatrian trails, views, and a ton of wildlife. 5. Zoo Life There is more than meets the eye in Las Vegas and one of those things are the different “zoos” available. The cool thing about there being a zoo in Las Vegas is that there isn’t just one. There are a few places: The Farm, Lion Habitat Ranch, Desert Eco-Tours, and so on. There are also some aquariums in Las Vegas, such as the Mandalay Bay Aquarium and the Shark Reef. Have you been to Las Vegas? What are some of the more family friendly events you have done?
