Android Oreo Is Out; This Is What You Get

Android Oreo Features

Android Oreo 8.0 is at your doorstep at last and we expect a sweet gesture, a pleasant user experience indeed. It will be given to those of you with a Pixel, Pixel XL, Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, or Pixel C at first and will hit the market by the end of this year. As being the most desirable and reputed name in the market, Android has proven their class all these years. It is a fact that the expectation will be huge but Google has always provided beyond our expectations. Isn’t it right?

Here I will list out few added features in Oreo that can possibly contribute to the further user experience.

Picture In Picture

This is more like a welcome feature from Android O. Picture in Picture or PIP is already an existing feature in I pad and some other Android tablets. We’ve yet to see it backed into Android on the phone. That’s all changing with Android O. Even the YouTube app in Android has this feature to shrink the video into a small window for some time. But now, you can do it with any app in the background.

Goodbye To Low Battery Life

Isn’t it sweet that you can access all the advanced features of your device without draining your battery? Android O will limit the processes applications can perform in the background when multiple apps are running.

Better Security

Google Play Protect is being introduced in Oreo. The service will scan your incoming and installed apps for malware and will send you notifications if it spots anything suspicious or needs to take action.

Notification Badges & Priorities

This is an actual step towards a better user experience. Android users no longer worry about the notification badges. Oreo will display it on their home screen icons. Another useful feature that Oreo allows you to prioritize your notifications. You can choose the relevant notification you want to show up. For example, some of your group chats in a messaging app might have permission to buzz and light up your phone, while others just display a silent alert.

Sync Your Data With Auto Fill Feature

It is such a tedious thing that you have to type in your information, such as addresses, usernames, and even passwords on forms in apps and on the web every time. Android O makes this easier by its new Auto fill feature.

Clever Text Selection

Text Selection in Android O is more intelligent than ever. If you long tap any text to copy and if it is a phone number or address, it will display suggestions like ‘begin directions here’ or ‘dial this number’ accordingly.

Wi-Fi Awareness

Earlier, it was impossible for devices in two different networks to communicate or to talk each other. Yes, this doesn’t matter anymore. Android O’s new feature called Wi-Fi Awareness let the devices to communicate with each other by using an ad hoc local network.

More Emoji, More Fun

Introducing a fully redesigned emoji set with over 60 new emojis. New emojis include a wizard, a dinosaur, a fairy,  an exploding head and the list goes on.

The Added Flavor To User Experience

At first glance, you may not find much difference in Android Oreo 8.0 when compared with Android 7.0 Nougat. But there certainly are many improvements, tweaks, and optimizations that will ultimately result in a much better user experience.
