Karwa Chauth is one of the most revered Hindu festivals in India that celebrates the healthy relationship of couple’s conjugal life. The festival not only strengthens the bond between husband and wife but also bring them closer in understanding each other. 1. Keep yourself hydrated:

During the Karwa Chauth’s fast, one is not allowed even to drink water on the whole day. But if you feel you cannot remain without water go for milk or fresh fruit juices. You can take juicy fruits orange, pineapple, and guava. If you have problems of BP, diabetics and other ailments consult a doctor

2. Do not work hard:

Please don’t work hard on that day. For those working women, it is always advisable to take a break on that day. If possible do your office work online as nowadays lots of ladies prefer to do office work online instead of coming to the office.

3. Keep cooking minimum:

Being a housewife you have lots of obligations towards husband and kids and other members of the family. You have to cook food for them and prepare the tiffin. Keep some dishes ready in the refrigerator on the previous day. Make a salad and simple curry instead of cooking varied items.

4. Reduce the chores of the kitchen:

Try to reduce chores of the kitchen. If you have no maidservant use a minimum utensil on that day. Instead of using plates and bowls, you can think of using disposable plats on that day as to reduce chores in the kitchen.

5. Take maximum rests:

Increase your time for rest. Just hold your shopping spree, visiting relative and neighbor. Read scriptures and holy books. If you feel too tired sleep one or two hours. Spend times with elders of the house. You can also read books and magazine and watch the television or a movie.

6. Precautions for a pregnant lady:

Those ladies within their pregnancy period must consult your doctor before going for a fasting. Remember you can fast but your baby should not suffer for that. Give priority to the baby inside than the rituals parts. Never follow what others say.

7. Dot fate hard and spicy food after fast:

After whole day fasting doesn’t go directly to hard and Spicy Food. First, drink plenty of water then take a glass of lemon water. Relax and after that take one glass of lassy or light food. Totally avoid spicy food after the fast.

8. Things to remember before the fast:

When you take the resolve to keep the fast, start the fasting from the morning, get up before the dawn and drink some coconut water and glass of milk. You will get energy for the whole day.

9. Don’t get irritated:

Remember you are fasting not only for the husband and family but also for yourself. Don’t get irritated like other days. Keep yourself cheerful and happy. If somebody in the house or neighbor talks hard, reply them politely.

10. Dress up yourself properly:

Keep yourself neat and clean. Wear new clothes if have already purchased, otherwise, wear neat and clean washed clothes. Also, wear light clothes. Use face wash and creams, if needed body lotions. Use fragrance and perfumes to bring more cheerfulness and confidence. For Mehndi don’t go too far off places so that you get tired.
