Every new business has growing pains! "Learning the Ropes" as they say.

Well...Embroidery By Amy has taken 10 steps forward and 8 steps back.

But...at least we are Ahead!!

First issue was the Beast (machine) and then it was the thread; Next, the needle and then the computer and then Amazon, the Post Office and a Holiday and emails and...well...

We are here Now! And we are so much wiser for the journey!!!

When you are excited about something new, you want everything toHurry Up and Get Here.

A learning curve takes time and it is fraught with pot holes and set backs. But you learn patience and intense study. You realize that repetition is a good thing and you discover that you need to stop and make sure that things are right! So, we have managed through the curve and we are now on a  straight stretch.

I have hired Mitzi, who is a 10 year veteran of the Embroidery Biz!

She is teaching me the machine and the computer programming and also how to tame the Beast!  She is a patient teacher and encourages mildly (no parades for every time I successfully thread one of the 15 needles!). She is fast with the Beast and takes no guff! She is meticulous in maneuvering material through the maze of needles and has already produced a pile of beach towels and a dozen T-shirts, napkins, pillows, vests and chef coats! I am incredibly thrilled and happy to have Mitzi!

So.....while the machine stitches away in the background, I address postcards, make marketing calls, contact little leagues and watch training videos for design programs.

I think that Embroidery by Amy is walking and sewing right into a bright shiny future!!!
