Hollywood is in a full-blown remake orgy, so why not bring back a movie that was Silly the first time around?

I remember seeing Joel Schumacher’s Flatliners in the theaters in 1990. It was during that time when I went to pretty much every movie that came out. I also remember walking out thinking, “Yeah… I never need to watch that again.” However, here we are 27 years later with a remake that doesn’t even have the visual appeal of Schumacher’s original. It just looks like a silly story.

The Trailer spells it out for you. Medical students decide to kill each other to learn what happens in the afterlife. They get addicted to it. Things go bad. Some folks die. About the most notable thing about the original was it starred Kiefer Sutherland, Julia Roberts, Kevin Bacon and Oliver Platt.

Oh, and I remember some people in costumes dancing with giant pumpkin heads.

It was a forgettable film the first time around and I have a feeling the second time around won’t be any different.
