Goat

I haven’t had a good cup of Coffee since the days before I was married.  Granted, that was only last week, but still, its a long time without a decent coffee.  You do get coffee here, but you’re served stewed filter coffee even if you specifically ask for an Americano.  I’m not complaining though.  This place is paradise on Earth and, if giving up good coffee is the price of being here, then it will never cross my lips again.

Drinking coffee is like everything else.  It’s an experience.  Experiences generate sensory perceptions, and sometimes emotions, and all of those are relative.  Every single thing you say, do or own is part of an experience from which you have sensation.  Nothing is permanent and nothing is objective.  How you feel today about something will probably differ slightly tomorrow.  The object you bought today will make you feel slightly differently tomorrow.  Indeed the object will be slightly different tomorrow from how it is today.  Nothing is permanent, everything is relative and the experience of life is finite.

That said, I am looking forward to the experience of dinner tonight.  We got talked into going to a weird place for dinner last night and I don’t want to repeat the experience.  I ordered a Goat burger and was disappointed that a goat burger isn’t actually made from a goat; rather it has goat’s cheese on it.  I think that’s false advertising and, if I could have been bothered, I would have either asked for my money back or insisted that someone slaughter a goat for me and make me a fresh burger from it.  Maybe goat meat is horrible and stringy, but that is a risk I was willing to take.
