Lobster Shack Factory

If you visit Cervantes, you might as well Visit Lobster Shack factory. Apparently it has been there for a long time but only recently become an established tourist spot thanks to Chinese tourists. Somehow Chinese tourists like lobsters as much as they like shark fin and tiger paw.

They have a restaurant in Lobster Shack too. They serve grilled lobster. Not any cheaper than Metropolitan Perth but fresh enough. And yes, you can opt for fried rice instead of chips. The colesaw however, looked like they were leftovers for several days.

The area is big enough to cater for busloads of tourists. Plenty of toilets too, so don't worry eating the colesaw.

The lobster factory is basically a self-guided tour. It's a rather small factory and costs AUD$10 for adults and AUD$5 for children. Quite expensive if you ask me, but well, if you are there already after two hours drive from Perth, might as well visit.

The lobster factory basically group the lobsters base on their size, purge them and package them.

Tour over in ten minutes or less if you have an impatient one.

So if you are touring around Cervantes, might as well visit Lobster Shack. Walking around will be good to reduced risk of deep vein thrombosis after a long car journey if coming from Perth.
