Award Ceremonies

You may ask, "What is the problem with them, they celebrate the achievements of people and give awards to those who deserve it the most for that respective category." This may be true, but for the Award ceremonies that I am going to talk about, for example for film (Oscars, Emmy awards) and music (Grammy awards, MTV music awards), the problems which are displayed make them unbearable to watch.

Firstly, when the ceremony is about to begin, we are introduced to an irritating, boring, and frankly evil type of person- the host. Now, unless it is Stephen Fry, it really does not matter who it is. They tell jokes that aren't funny and they mess up their lines,  unacceptable. Stephen Fry on the other hand is able to be funny, but professional at the same time, or in other words, a perfect host.

Next are the award speeches. These can make us cringe. Sometimes they cry, sometimes they're speechless (preferable), and sometimes they just have nervous breakdown (hilarious). However, the main problem is when they start thanking every single person they can think of. Nobody cares! Just say "thank you" and get off the bloody stage so this damn ceremony can end!

Here is a pretty terrible acceptance speech from an award ceremony.

Mariah Carey drunk

Horrible behaviour, I know.
