The foreigners and Filipinos who has spent their time with Filipino friends and/or colleagues knows what a real Filipino time is, that is "always late."

When I was in my elementary and high school days, I always arrive at School an hour before our assembly time. It was my routine that I should never be late for school. I was also a cadet officer so I managed to carry that "discipline."  I usually wake up 2 hours before my call-time. I bathe, brush my teeth, pack my things, get ready and I always anticipate the time consumed by traffic going to school.

It was very different since I entered college. My school is more than 20KM away from my house and I take 3-4 public vehicles in the morning and 2 going home. It is kinda far, and imagine all the traffic I pass by everyday.

My first year, I was also always on time, Usually it just take 45min-1hour travel time going to school. It dramatically changed in just a year and I realized its already taking me 2 hours just to go to school! It was really very stressful, that I could not set my body clock to wake up early because I was tired the night before on my way home.

I felt like I was travelling to provinces everyday. So worn out that I lost that discipline to be on time for my class, sometimes my classmates would pick on me for being too early for our next class when i arrive! hahahahah

Although this changed when I started applying for a job after I graduated.I immediately regain that old habbit of mine, being early( a little bit ;))
Meeting  friends who are far worse than I was in college, really annoyed me when I wait for them for 2 hours, even if they set the time. So most of the time I  purposely show up an hour late of the proposed call time. Seems fair ;;)

I have met people who lost jobs and opportunities because of being late. Lesson should be learned here, that we should value other people's time if we want to be treated the same. Having the impression of being late is not good in any ways.

My advice to this is:
  • Exercise, rest and be healthy.
why?
Exercising decreases the stress hormones and increases the endorphins. It makes your mood happy and feel good. If you are physically active you recover from depression quick and you will also receive good mental health.
So, no excuses for not feeling good.
Just like what they always say, Start your day right!
  • Time is Gold
Think as if you are a CEO of a company, and you cannot waste your time not making money!
