Well first of all allow me to wish all my readers the best of spirits and health.

The author is looking to start a dialogue and conversing ideas on conceptualizing the elevations of high end group Housing coming up especially in NCR regions. The below displayed shots of a project is just a starting point – the main point is to share graphics, ideas and beyond out of box thinking to come up with those kind of solutions for facades which are:

c. Purity of expression – I do not mean here pure forms or as they say all sides of a building have to co-relate with each other. For me that is something which would classify in old school of thoughts. Today I think we can have two different sides of a building completely contrasting. The skin of a building has to be more responsive to what’s happening inside as well as what is directly outside. I mean from outside the facade should reveal the kind of spaces inside and from inside the facade should act according to what’s outside. Maintaining a fine balance between both is need of the hour,

d. Essence and realization of a design – Design as a whole can only be achieved once the purpose of building it, core idea behind the design as well as method of building/construction is revealed through final product as a layered experience,

e. Layers of design – (I always feel the overall user experience should always be layered) are realized through architectural elements we generally ignore, don’t create due to cost constraints or lack of time or due to lack of definition of a subjective purpose of making those design elements,

Keeping above fundamentals in check I urge all of you to come forward and lets make a community where we can share knowledge and iodeas together and benefit all. The good part here is that innovations starting point is in our minds.

The below shots are of a group housing project in NCR whose conceptual design / plans and massing is frozen and the next step obviously is to progress on detailed elevations. As you all can see we have tried to play with forms, heights, angles to come with a solution in terms of massing which is responsive to site and plans. I see it a begining here – lets carry it forward.
