Another Halloween is in the books for 2010,it was quite busy for a Sunday nite here in Mililani where I live.People were creating traffic jams throughout Mililani mauka from 6pm till 10pm because of all the halloween festivities everyone was having on their neighbor-hood blocks.It was pretty crazy between those hours of candy harvesting amongst the kids.
In the early morning hours it rained pretty fierce here,then tapered off at about 11am,and became a beautiful shady cool day. The waves are hitting the North and west shores today,climbing to 25 ft. plus by tomorrow.It should be closing out in many surfspots on the north shore, do to the excessive Wave heights.The west shore should see moderate waves probably 10 to 15 ft.in range.Some of the beaches will be closed as well.It's the time of year again so,wax up your board and check it out.Winter surf in Hawaii is unreal.
The General Election is in full swing tomorrow throughout the nation.We all have to do our moral obligation of placing our Vote on the ballot, for the persons we see fit to lead our country to the path of what will be good for people, within our state and our nation.It hard to vote the right person in office,when the opposing candidate does so much negative campaigning that you don't even know which candidate is telling the truth.There is nobody running on the truth of fact, or honesty about the issues half the time.You might think that their platform is great,to find out later that it really wasn't true.All you can do is trust in the action that these so called sincere politeticians have displayed in office or through the media and decide for yourselves if they will do what is right for everybody,the majority of the time hopefully.Like they say here in Hawaii," If you no vote no grumble."
I am looking forward to another holiday season coming up,Thanksgiving turkey,family,and friends.You know eat till you sleep!Christmas is just around the corner,and the keiki are already placing their orders regarding those toys and gifts with their names on it.Then another great New Years party to top off the old 2010 year.Boy!The years come rolling along pretty quickly when you least expect it.So just prepare now for the next two months of hyper action,whether your in the ocean or on land because these next 60 days will be over in a flash.
