Food....it does that to us!

On occasions when my mom was out of town, my father cooked for us. Pretty decent stuff! But when he tried it himself, he just couldn't enjoy his cooking, the way he enjoyed my mom's!
He would wail out loud, "How do women manage to eat what they cook?" Thinking of it now, I guess, it had less to do with the issues of men and women, and more to do with the number of hours he had spent in the kitchen.
Remember, when you cook for a party at home, perfection is your aim. Then comes dinner time and you suddenly loose all appetite!
But the next day, the same leftovers, eaten in the solitude of your kitchen feel, "Oh, so good."
Its the constant tasting and sampling of food which robs the flavour for you.
Lesson to be learned: Give your natural flair a chance please! Don't fret too much!

You been pining for a pasty, all through the day. Its been killing your productivity, eating into your thought process. In fact, its all you can think off. When you can't bear it any  longer you decide to go for it. The pastry shop is quite far, but you are determined.
Wow ! Finally you are there, you can almost taste it, you reach the display window...........some thing else catches your fancy..........What to eat ? What not to eat? Suddenly, that pastry is not so tempting after all!
Lesson to be learned: Your ever evolving brain can take a U-turn anytime! So don't trust it  too much!

Its a weekend, you have every intention to enjoy yourself, laden with the tastiest burger that was ever made, you switch on the T.V to your favourite movie channel. There is an interesting movie about to start. So you make yourself comfortable, planning to enjoy the movie and the burger, "Ah! Pure bliss." You've just taken your first bite, when the hero of the movie needs to puke badly......you shut your eyes tight...stumble for the remote... but the damage is already done... there goes the heavenly burger down the drain.
Lesson to be learned: The most tempting things in this world can loose their glitter in a second. So don't yearn too much!
