No one killed her

Whenever there comes an hour of crisis, the 'leading' nations of this century come to the forefront, and mitigate the situation. Be it any war, or an economic depression, or global warming, a natural disaster, or a man made one. But seldom do they reach solutions that can be called potent enough, to deal with most of the situations. What might be the reason of this, of the best brains and resources of this planet being unable to solve problems?
The answer is pathetically simple. they try hard to ignore the actual causes, because that would be like pleading guilty in the court of justice.

Nations like the US of A, UK, France etc. conveniently miss out on their roles in such issues, and even more conveniently put the Blame on the third world countries, the developing nations. From the major Oil spills, the recent one in the Gulf of Mexico being one of them, to the global issue of terrorism, to the world wide economic depression, name the issue and you have a 'big' Nation behind it.

Who created the first and only intentional nuclear disaster on this planet? USA. Which country has had the most oil spills? USA. What they call a thorn in their side, against whom they are waging the global war on terror, is their own creation. Taliban is Uncle Sam's personal Frankenstein.

The United Nations Organization, upon facing such issues, puts the blame on situations. At Copenhagen for example it was demanded that nations like China, Brazil and India cut down drastically on their carbon footprints, while America got a subsidized limit, the reason they say, is its importance to the global economy. When an already developed economy, which is the largest contributor to the Global Warming, is set free, and a developing economy is chained down, isn't it nothing else but an excuse to prevent them from challenging the current position of the world superpowers?

They destroyed Afghanistan, in the name of the war on terror, today they have declared Pakistan a terrorist state. Not to absolve our neighbors or ourselves from any blames, but quite frankly, who fathered this terrorism in this region? Is it not a product of the Cold War? Why would tribal Pathans, limited to the arid mountainous terrains of the Khyber, suddenly need AK-47s? More importantly, where would they get them?

But what about the absolute situation? Its the fault of the superpowers, some say, and the others blame the upcoming nations. But where in this blame game, does the actual issue go? Who takes the responsibility to do things for the better? The superpowers? When they have the causes all twisted, how would they address the effects? The other nations, they wash their hands clean, it wasn't their creation after all. But the truth is, whoever made it, today, its eating up the world.

Those who can, need to take responsibility. Even if it means admitting to past crimes. It might not bode well for their public image, but, tarnishing it is a small price to pay, for the future safety of the globe. The developing nations need to do their part too, it wasn't their problem, but that's in past tense. Anything that threatens your very existence, becomes your very own problem.

Look beyond tomorrow, where do we see ourselves headed? Is this a future that we want? Isn't it a justified enough cause, to work today? What we shall live in tomorrow, will be a world of our making, of our choice, either way.

Choose wisely.
