It's what happens now that important....

You just woke up like every other day except that its not. Yesterday's news is still reeling in your in your head  as are the multiple drinks you consumed the night before. You were thinking "I did all the right things",went to school and landed the dream job, heck I even promoted through the company. In  a matter of seconds it was over. All you heard of yesterday's Conversation was "HR will be in contact with you you soon ", and "keep your chin up".

Just last week the local news teaser said "Job layoffs, ... warning signals that you may be fired... what plan do you have?
You thought I am sure glad to that I don't have to deal with that drama. Then there was that conversation  with a friend last month.  She went on and on about attending a jobhunters meetup. I silently thought, what is going on that there has to be a job support group. She talked about a  30 day action plan and strategic networking "Action plan", "strategic networking" whoa, what happened to trekking over to Monster.com with your newly crafted resume and references ready and willing to go.  I told her "Ill keep a look out for ya kid:,and  "keep your chin up", as I walked out the door with not a care in the world.  Condescending yes, insensitive yes and yes.

A third friend had just put a Mastermind group together, you know an accountability team. This concept came from some book called "Think and Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill.  She was on this kick about having a plan B and  talked about the days of job security being gone. When she asked me to pass on her newsletter I said " yeah, sure whatever". Boy who was the one in denial certainly not her.  I was the one that needed to get a grip and yes, a plan B.

Now here I sit alone replaying all these conversations and news flashes like a looping like a multimedia show. Shoulda, woulda, coulda is beside the point , what the heck was I going to do now. I realized that the next 30 would set the tone for this  whole process over the next few months. My head kept saying don't panic, but my body wanted to go into cardiac arrest. No time for that now. I decided to
tune in the The Vision Coach on Blogtalk radio. There I replayed Development Coach Kimberly Oglesby's talk with Edward Foxworth III's.  He discussed The Six Routines of Self Discovery from his most recent book.

I planned to next listen in on a teleconference on Thursday February 26th at 6:00 pm, CST at (218) 844-8230 622761# .  The jobhunters meetup this month will be by phone so more people can participate.  There will be an overview on the importance of having an 30 plan and how to write one.  Please go to www.visionquestcoachingunlimited.com  and to to contact for more information.
