The Desert Tortoise Conservation Center in Las Vegas, Nevada is a center that focuses on the conservation of the endangered Desert tortoise, an animal that has been on the endangered species list since 1990. Unfortunately the center is now running out of funds and officials plan to euthanize hundreds of the tortoises before closing the center altogether.
