Friday - End of the Week

What a week, it just seems to have dragged a long, I woke up on Tuesday morning convinced that it was Friday - surely that must go some way to explaining how bad it's been. It's not that bad things have Happened, it have just stretched out much further than these things should.

Monday
I went to Belgium last week and therefore Monday was spent catching up with everything. To make matters worse, the auditors were in this week (and last actually), but since I wasn't around last week they managed to save all their questions and bombard me first thing, I didn't even manage to get my coat off and get a cup of tea before they fired them all off at me!

It was my boyfriends birthday on Tuesday and so I told him I would cook him a Meal. This inevitably meant that I had to prepare it Monday night. Half past nine I had finally finished and placed the prepared dish in the fridge - at half past nine, it finally dawned on me that I hadn't actually eaten myself - too late by then, there was no way I was going to cook.

Fortunately one of the girls (I use the term very loosely) was retiring later in the week (now you know why I used the term loosely), so I had managed to eat a three course meal at lunch so at least I had eaten something.

Tuesday - J's Birthday
Oh dear, J was moaning already when I first saw him... apparently his mum had Bought him a set of hair trimmers as a present. Now this may not be a bad thing for quite a few blokes but considering he looks like someone out of an indie band with longish hair and sideburns, I don't actually think he'll be using the trimmers.

Then he was moaning because I hadn't given him a present - he didn't actually think I'd bought him one until I told him I'd give him it (the present that is) later.

Nothing much happened during the day, but later I cooked J his meal. Well I decided to do prawn cocktail for starters - I know it's a bit cras but I like it! Only problem is, we were both starving by the time we got home, I bought some fresh prawns and didn't actually realise how long it would take to shell them. Still at least I'd already prepared the main course (thank god) so that only took about 15 minutes to cook.

Wednesday
Nothing happened - except for Chelsea getting through to the next round of the FA cup, much to J's disgust seeing as he supports Newcastle

Thursday - Parent's Evening
Well I had expected things to be ok, but there you go. Apparently my son is not exactly the best behaved lad in the School. He's on a, well I suppose you would describe it as being on report. His Behaviour each day is monitored and recorded. Unfortunately the threat of this doesn't seem to be having an impact. He still disrupts classes and gets into fights. I've now threatened him with cancelling his guitar and judo lessons if his behaviour doesn't improve. Hopefully this will have the desired effect since, other than that I don't really know what to do.

The other side of the coin is that his school work is actually quite good. They moved him up a year a few years ago because he was performing well. His maths is excellent (that is what I have been told, not just what I think), so I don't know if it's boredom that is causing his disruptive attitude. His teacher says that he completes his work easily, and so it makes me wonder if, because he's finished, he then misbehaves as he has nothing else to do.

Friday
Surely I should be going out tonight? Nevermind, at least I'm out tomorrow, pictures early doors - to watch "The Hills Have Eyes" and then straight to the pub for a few beers and a game, or several, of pool
