USPS will allow you to set up forwarding to a new location for a set period of time. Therefore, during your process of moving, you can always set up a forwarding of your mail to your new permanent location which will allow you to have the necessary time you need to get all of your affairs in order. This will help give you more time to go through the list of major places you should begin making the changes of address with.

Overall, there are a lot of things that you should be looking at to make your move successful. You want to prioritize forwarding your address and submitting the official change of address with the Post Office. By doing both of these things and creating a list of companies to contact, you should be able to be successful with your move and get all of your mail sent to the new address.
