Hurray! Detroit’s gun problem is totally solved. Protesters wearing orange shirts saying “We demand action” and let go of a dozen orange balloons.
While the Detroit City Council is trying to remove Dr. Ben Carson’s name from a Detroit school because he is a republican, Mumford High School is naming its auditorium after a graduate and democrat, Jemele Hill. She’s an ESPN “journalist” that has been repeatedly suspended over a decade for various racist remarks.
New residents believing the turnaround hype and paid a lot of money for condos in the Rivertown area are getting an expensive lesson. For ages, in the summer Detroiters on motorcycles rev their engines and blast loud music until 3am. Loud groups, cruising down the street, squealing tires for burnouts and donuts in parking lots, drag racing – all of which have residents upset. One frustrated resident, Patrick Burton, told the Free Press, “There is NO quality of life here. In the summer you’re tormented, your home is invaded, there is no peace in the evening.” On review websites, even Detroit hotel guests complain about loud noise at all times of the night.
Detroit City Councilman, Gabe Leland, plead the 5th during his extortion and bribery civil trial. The FBI has recordings of Leland taking money for votes.
Speaking of Politicians, 4 Democrats were booted from the congressional primary ballot for failing to meet the application requirements.
MDOT confiscated a building owned by a Quaker group in Detroit by Eminent Domain for a new bridge to Canada. The group has sued MDOT to double the compensation they’ve been offered.
Speaking of Detroit buildings, now 6 buildings belonging to Wayne State University have tested positive for the Legionnaire’s bacteria.

- Willie Wright and his crew of thieves rob the most successful restaurants at night. They hit cash registers, vaults, TVs which shuts down the business for a few days. He was arrested but fled after he cut his tether. Get your restaurant on a Top 10 List and Willie will hit it
- Detroit police are investigating 3 separate carjackings at gas stations that have Project Green Light Surveillance.
- A Detroit woman says that while driving on Evergreen, her Samsung Galaxy S8 spontaneously caught on fire and ultimately burned her car to the ground after she escaped. The Fire Dept. verified the source of the fire and Samsung sent out engineers to evaluate the phone.
- A Detroit 21-year-old felt a pain in his leg while at a party, and realized that he had been shot. He refuses to cooperate with police.
- One Detroiter took a rifle to another Detroiter’s home, but the other guy had a handgun and shot the man to death. Police are investigating what lead to the shooting.
- A man used his cigarette lighter to ignite a display at a Family Dollar Store in Detroit. The blaze heavily damaged the store. The 20-year-old arsonist was arrested.
